The NJIT Cleanable Face Shield

Provided below are the files needed to manufacture and assemble the NJIT Cleanable Face Shield.

The face shield is made from 4 components:

  • The Head Band: This component can be injection molded or laser cut from a medical grade cleanable plastic such as HDPE or HDPP.
  • The Face Shield: This component can be laser cut or CNC drag knife cut from a medical grade cleanable plastic such as PET or Polycarbonate
  • The Head Cushion: This component can be hand, laser, or CNC drag knife cute from a cleanable closed cell foam with an adhesive.
    • Foam Example Raw Material: McMaster-Carr Part Number: 93565K56
    • Cut into 5" long pieces.
  • The Head Strap Webbing: This component shoudl be cut with a hot knife to avoid material fraying.
    • Hot Knife Cutter: McMaster-Carr Part Number: 834a27
    • Webbing Example Raw Material: McMaster-Carr Part Number: 8619K68
    • Cut into 19" pieces with a taper on each side.
