Make 101 - Introduction to the Makerspace
Prerequisites: None
Description: This online video training is the starting point for new members covering the basics of operating safely in the Makerspace, tool safety, and EHS policy. It also explains how to receive additional equipment training, access tools and storage, and simple ways for new makers to get started. Note: MAKE 101 is a required prerequisite for all other MAKE courses. Students must successfully complete and pass MAKE 101 before enrolling in any subsequent MAKE offerings.
Make 102 - Introduction to Laser Engraving and Cutting
Prerequisites: Make 101
Description: Make 102 is an online video training with embedded quiz questions that teaches the basics of laser cutter operation and theory. Workflows for file preparation, operation of laser cutters, job monitoring, safety are also discussed.
Make 103 - Introduction to 3D Printing
Prerequisites: Make 101
Description: An introductory course required to use the Makerspace's FDM 3D printers. Briefly covers the basics of 3D printing including basic operation, model preparation and slicing, starting, monitoring, and removing a print.
Make 106 - Introduction to 3D Scanning

Make 202 - Introduction to Fiber Laser Cutting
Prerequisites: Make 101
Description: An introductory course
Prerequisites: Make 101, Make 103
Description: Building on Make 103, this course covers stereolithographic 3D printing, a printing process that involves curing a photopolymer resin layer-by-layer. Briefly covers design considerations, slicing, starting and removing prints.
Make 240 - Introduction to Woodshop Machinery (Dates will be announced soon)
Prerequisites: Make 101
Description: An introductory course that covers the basics of woodworking and protocols related to the wood shop, specifically five main pieces of equipment: table saw, band saw, miter saw, drill press, and sanders. A hands-on portion is also included and required during this training for students to be given wood shop access privileges.
